(JACKSON, Wyo.) – A Jackson man was rescued after a skiing accident in Grand Teton National Park Saturday. Thrity-one-year-old Josh Tatman was skiing in the Granite Canyon area when he fell about 300 feet down the mountain. Despite the long tumble, Tatman was reported in good condition at St. John’s Medical Center Sunday afternoon. Park officials say Tatman was able to use his cell phone to contact emergency officials. They recommend bringing an avalanche beacon each time you ski in the backcountry.
