Because of an ailing back, Howard will rest and go under rehabilitation for the next 10-14 days and will not see any action until he is feeling healthy according to ESPN.

Howard recently has been dealing with a herniated disk in his lower back and has been complaining of back pain since March. The disk though, is not fully herniated and non-operable treatment has been recommended to Howard. Despite the diagnosis, there is no guarantee that he will heal in time for the playoffs and surgery remains a possibility.

Howard is the anchor of the Magic offesively and defensively. He leads the team in scoring, rebounding, blocks, and steals. Orlando also gives up the fourth fewest points per game in the NBA. Howard is also a three-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year Award winner.

The Magic are just 1-4 without Howard in the lineup this year.
