Broken Wells Leave Atomic City Without Water
Published at | Updated at
(ATOMIC CITY) – A bad water system installation is leaving Atomic City residents without running water. City council members tell Local News 8 that the town’s wells are only a few years old. One broke down three weeks ago, and the second one stopped working last week. All 26 families living in the small town have to haul their water in jugs from a Snake River Sanitation truck. They say Pump Tech of Idaho Falls, which did the installation, has thus far been unwilling to fix a wiring problem that likely caused the pumps to short out. Pump Tech maintains that the wells are off-warranty.
