The win gives the Thunder a 3-0 series lead.

Durant, who had struggled shooting in the first two games of the series, scored nine points in the first three minutes of the game.

“It was good to have a good start,” Thunder head coach Scott Brooks said of Durant. “He’s earned that. He works as hard as anybody I’ve ever been around. You knew he was going to have a good shooting game sooner or later.

Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 17 points.

“Just picked a bad time to really put a stinker out there,” Nowitzki said. “Nobody really had a good game for us. They took it to us on the other end. Everybody made shots…We picked a tough time to get nothing going on the offensive end.”

Nowitzki and the Mavericks will gear up for Game 4 Saturday, where they will look to avoid a series sweep.
