“Rondo is definitely one of the best point guards, one of the best players that we have in this league,” Heat forward LeBron James, who scored 34 points in the win, said after the game. “He showcased that tonight. He made play, after play after play. He felt like he had to put his team on his back to try and get this win, and he did everything he could.”

The Heat now have a 2-0 series lead, but that doesn’t seem to bother Rondo.

“We have the next two at home,” Rondo said. “We had two tough losses on the road but it’s a seven game series. We’re playing very well at home as of late…so I’m looking forward too it.”

Game 3 is in Boston on Friday night.
