Hightower Re-Signs With The Washington Redskins

Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images(ASHBURN, Va.) — The Washington Redskins re-signed free agent running back Tim Hightower Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In five games with the Redskins last season, Hightower rushed for 321 yards on 84 carries with one touchdown. His season ended early when he was placed on injured reserve after tearing a ligament in his left knee.
Hightower was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL draft. He spent three seasons in the desert before being dealt to the nation’s capital.
