Idaho Sheriff Candidate Hosts Cross Burning

(SANDPOINT) – A white supremacist running for sheriff in Bonner County held a cross burning last week with fellow members of the Idaho Ku Klux Klan. 33-year-old Shaun Winkler is a member of the Aryan Nations and an imperial wizard with the KKK. Winkler allowed press outlets to attend the cross burning at his Priest River home. Winkler claims his personal racism won’t influence his policies and decisions if elected.
