LDS Church May Have Found Temple Site in Afton

(AFTON, Wyo.) – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints may be closing a deal soon to purchase a 42-acre plot for a new temple in Star Valley, Wyoming. Local News 8 spoke with Afton city attorney Spencer Allred, who said the church had entered an agreement for a piece of property in town. Church officials have not confirmed if the plot will be used for the proposed temple. City officials hope the building will be a boost to the local economy.
