More Felony Charges for White House Shooter
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON D.C.) — An Idaho Falls man accused of firing an assault rifle at the White House in an attempt to assassinate the president is facing two additional charges. Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez was charged with “injury to a dwelling” and an additional weapons violation, bringing a grand total of 19 felony charges related to the Nov. 11 incident. Ortega’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf Friday. The President and First Lady were out of town the night of the shooting. Prosecutors say Ortega is a conspiracy theorist who thinks the president is the “Anti-Christ.”
