(NEW YORK) — The critically-acclaimed, but low-rated Tina Fey comedy 30 Rock will indeed come to an end next season.
NBC confirmed Monday that the series will end with an abbreviated 13-episode seventh season next year. The finale will be an hour long.
Over the weekend, when it announced its 2012-2013 schedule, NBC said it had not decided whether 30 Rock’s next season will be its last.
NBC on Monday dropped a few other tidbits regarding the 2012-2013 season, according to Variety: it has ordered 10 episodes of a pirate drama, Crossbones, that is set in the 1700s, and a potential Munsters remake titled Mockingbird Lane could debut in mid-season if the network approves of the yet-to-be filmed pilot.
