Network Renewals, Cancellations: “Two and a Half Men” Will Be Back
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Ashton Kutcher is officially on board for a second season of Two and a Half Men.
The Hollywood Reporter said Kutcher and his co-stars, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, will receive small raises to return for the CBS hit sitcom’s tenth season. Kutcher, who reportedly made more than $700,000 per episode this season, replaced Charlie Sheen last year.
CBS cancelled CSI: Miami and the first-year shows Rob, Unforgettable, NYC 22 and A Gifted Man. The star of A Gifted Man, Patrick Wilson, tweeted his frustration over the weekend, writing, “So…shocking to no one: #agiftedman is done. Found out via email…and not from the network. Stay classy.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC renewed Private Practice, Body of Proof, Last Man Standing, and the first-year shows Scandal and Don’t Trust the B**** in Apt 23. It cancelled GCB, Missing, Pan Am and The River.
The CW pulled the plug on Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer as well as The Secret Circle, and renewed Gossip Girl, Nikita and Hart of Dixie. It also picked up the Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries.
