(BLACKFOOT) – Bingham County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a shooting that left a four-month-old puppy seriously injured. Local News 8 reports that a female border collie was recently found in a ditch with multiple gunshot wounds. Leslie Schwindt, who discovered the dog, has since named her “Angel.” Veterinarian Tony Parsons credits the puppy’s survival to Schwindt, and she’s expected to make a full recovery in spite of losing one of her hind legs. Two other puppies from the same litter were also found with similar injuries.
