Last month, his World Series ring was stolen from his home in Clearwater, Florida. In a classy gesture by the team, the Red Sox have given Lowe a replica ring to replace the one that was stolen.

In his final season with Boston, Lowe went just 14-12 with a 5.42 ERA. Despite his regular season struggles, Low went went 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA in the postseason. Lowe is now a member of the Cleveland Indians. While the Indians were in town recently, Red Sox owners John Henry, Larry Lucchino, and Tom Werner presented Lowe with the replica ring.

“You know me, I can talk,” Lowe said. “But it was one of those moments where I didn’t even know what to say. It wasn’t like they just sent over a bat boy or sent it over. All three of them came over to give it to me. They said some really nice things.”

Along with the new ring, Lowe is enjoying his finest season in years with the Indians so far. He’s 5-1 with a 2.47 ERA, and even picked up a win against his former club on Thursday.
