That’s the former Republican presidential candidate’s term for same-sex marriage.

Santorum, whose deeply conservative views on social issues is revered by many within the Republican Party, expressed his disgust for Obama’s decision to show support for gay and lesbian nuptials after the president previously spoke in favor of the traditional view of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

In a statement, Santorum said the president “consistently fought against protecting the institution of marriage from radical social engineering at both the state and federal level… The charade is now over, no doubt an attempt to galvanize his core hard left supporters in advance of the November election.”

While he is no longer a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, Santorum promised to “fight to make sure that the cultural elites don’t further undermine the institution that gives the best opportunity for healthy, happy children and a just and prosperous society.”
