Commission Denies Leavitt’s Request for Commutation Hearing
Published at(BOISE) – Idaho’s parole board has denied a request for a commutation hearing from death row inmate Richard Leavitt. The governor’s office received the board’s recommendation without comment. Leavitt received a death sentence for the 1984 murder of Danette Jean Elg of Blackfoot. Unless other appeals are accepted, Leavitt will be executed Tuesday, June 12 at 10 a.m.
