Coughlin Agrees To Contract Extension With NY Giants
Published at(EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.) — Head coach Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants agreed to a new contract extension Wednesday that will keep him roaming the sidelines for Big Blue through the 2014 season. The deal is worth $20 million, according to ESPN.
Coughlin won his second Super Bowl title with the Giants last season with a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots.
“It has always been my belief that it is an honor and a privilege to be the head coach of the New York Giants,” Coughlin said in a statement.
In eight seasons as head coach of the Giants, the 65-year-old Coughlin owns a record of 74-54.
