FEC is Suing Former Senator Larry Craig

(BOISE, ID) — Former U.S. Sen. Larry Craig is under the lens of the Federal Election Commission amid allegations that he misused campaign funds as part of his legal defense in 2007. Officials say Craig will likely have to repay nearly $217,000 as well as additional fines. Craig resigned in 2007 following his arrest in a Minneapolis airport bathroom sex sting. He later pleaded guilty to charges of soliciting sex, saying he only wanted to keep the story quiet.
