Former Congressional Candidate Schedules Plea Deal

(BOISE) – A former Democratic candidate for Idaho’s 1st Congressional District has scheduled a plea deal after she threatened office store employees with a handgun earlier this year. 58-year-old Cynthia Clinkingbeard has been charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault and a weapons charge. The former physician lost her medical license in 2005 for increasingly erratic behavior attributed to bipolar disorder.
