Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence turned real-life heroine Monday evening, when she assisted in a real-life emergency outside her home.

Lawrence, 21, was walking her dog when she came across a young girl on the front lawn of her Santa Monica, Calif., apartment complex, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. The story was originally reported by X17Online.com.

“We had a concerned resident call 911 about a female juvenile who apparently passed out or may have been intoxicated,” Sgt. Richard Lewis told ABC News.

Although Lawrence wasn’t the one to make the call, the actress who plays Hunger Games‘ Katniss calmly stayed with the young girl until police arrived. The girl was treated and cleared to leave. Police were unsure whether she lived in the area.

The Oscar nominee will start filming Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, later this year alongside Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
