Woolridge had been sick with a chronic heart condition, and was under hospice care at their home.

Woolridge played his College ball at Notre Dame, and was a part of the Irish’s 1978 Final Four team. He played 13 NBA seasons for seven teams, averaging 16 points-per-game for his career.

When Wooldrige retired from the NBA, he spent a year as the head coach of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.
