Parise is coming off a season in which his team fell short to the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals and is expected to make a decent salary in his next contract.

At the team’s locker cleanouts on Thursday Parise was asked if he would consider crossing over to the rival New York Rangers three separate occasions, but each time made it clear what his answer was.

“No,” Parise said.  “Don’t try to get a headline out of it.”

Re-signing Parise is the main concern for Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello.  Among the Rangers who Parise doesn’t think he will go to, the Detroit Red Wings, and Minnesota Wild are among the favorites to land the 27-year-old winger.
