President Obama, Mitt Romney Mediate at CMT Music Awards
Published at(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — President Barack Obama and the presumptive GOP nominee, Mitt Romney, appeared in a taped comedy skit that opened Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards.
As many politicians are apt to do in the middle of a partisan battle, both President Obama and former Gov. Romney refused to take sides in a dispute between Toby Keith and Kristen Bell on who should host Wednesday night’s awards show.
“This is one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make since I’ve been in office,” Obama said. “But I think I’ve decided. I want them both.”
Romney then weighed in.
“I thought the presidential election was a tough race but it’s nothing compared to the politics at the CMT Music Awards,” he said. “I think I have a solution. I propose that Toby and Kristen co-host the show. See, I just put two people back to work. You’re welcome, America.”
Let’s hope these two candidates can put on a better show at their party’s conventions this summer.
