Two Sheds Lost in Wildfire

(JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID) — Jefferson County fire crews battled a wildfire near a housing subdivision Sunday afternoon. Authorities say the fire was burning in tall grass just east of Highway 20 behind South Fork Estates. Two sheds near a home were destroyed. Strong winds made fighting the flames difficult, though the fire let up once it approached the Snake River. Investigators say the blaze started when a homeowner was burning trash nearby, which eventually burned about five acres. No injuries were reported.
