Wildfire Sparks Near Malad Tuesday

(MALAD, ID)  —    Crews responded to an apparent human caused wildfire Tuesday evening after 5pm 2 miles north of Malad on I-15 that started on private land.  The fire consumed over 150 acres.  East Idaho Interagency Fire Center responded with 4 engines, an air attack, 4 Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATS), a dozer and water tender.   Oneida County also responded with 5 engines and a dozer as well.    No structures were threatened by this fire, and no injuries were reported.  An investigation is on-going.
