Bateman: New Gun Control Laws Unlikely in Idaho

(IDAHO FALLS) – After Friday morning’s shooting rampage at a Colorado movie theater, some are questioning whether lawmakers are doing enough to enact stricter gun control laws. Republican Rep. Linden Bateman of Idaho Falls says News creating tougher restrictions on assault weapons likely won’t stop deranged individuals from committing horrible crimes. Bateman voted against a House bill earlier this year that would have allowed for concealed carry permits on college campuses. The bill later failed in the Senate.
