EAST IDAHO FIRE UPDATE

(BINGHAM COUNTY, ID) — Two new fires in East Idaho. The first is the Downey West Fire reported last night about 6 miles North/Northeast of Downey ID. This 130-acre fire was contained by midnight and estimate of control is sometime Tuesday. The second fire started Monday afternoon near Fort Hall, the six-acre Cattle Trail Fire was a Fort Hall assist and was controlled at 4 P.M.
East & Ridge Top Fires: The East and Ridge Top fires have been combined to be managed under one Incident Command structure. Currently 15 engines, five hand crews, five dozers, and two water tenders are on scene. Current fire size is estimated at 16,627 acres. No estimate of containment or control.
