The Hornets sent forward Trevor Ariza and center Emeka Okafor to the Wizards in-exchange for Lewis and the 46th overall pick in this year’s NBA draft.

The two-time NBA All-Star was entering the final year of a six-year, $118 million contract, which included a buyout provision worth 13.7 million.

Lewis was originally drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the second round of the 1998 NBA draft. In 934 games played, Lewis has averaged 16.1 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds.
