Power County Jail Gets Facelift

(AMERICAN FALLS) – The Power County Jail may get a face lift soon. Sheriff Jim Jeffries says that the facility is in need of a major update to meet state standards. He says the current layout has some areas out of the view of guards, while the visiting area can’t easily accommodate the disabled. Jeffries says the remodeling work comes down to a necessity for safety. Power County Commissioners plan to meet July 23 to decide whether to move forward with the plan.
