Pooley/Getty Images(BOWLING GREEN, Ohio) — Back in May, Mitt Romney was criticized for not immediately rebuking a woman at a town hall who said President Obama “should be tried for treason” with democrats saying he stood “silently” during attacks on the president.

But Wednesday, during a town hall in the battleground state of Ohio, Romney didn’t miss a beat when one woman referred to Obama as a job-killing “monster.”

The woman, who did not identify herself to the crowd more than saying she is an “angry mom,” was telling Romney about her son’s struggling business and said, “He’s had to lay off people and he may have to close some stores and it’s all because of what this monster has done to this country.”

As the crowd laughed and began to applause, Romney jumped in, “That’s not a term I would use.”

Romney later added that the woman had “every right to be angry.”

Romney backer Sen. John McCain famously stepped in to a correct a woman during his own bid for the White House in 2008 when she called Obama an “Arab.”

“No, no ma’am, he’s a decent, family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that’s what this campaign is about,” McCain said at the time.
