“I was pleased with the unselfishness of our team,” Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “The defensive intensity, the fact we really shared the ball and we got a lot of minutes for everybody.”

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant came off the bench to lead the Americans with 24 points.

“The score was indicative of how good USA is and how they play aggressively,” Dominican Republic head coach John Calipari said. “We knew they’d get after us, and make catches hard, and play to try to get going in transition and they did it to a level that for the short time they’ve been together, amazes me.”

Next up for Team USA, Brazil. They meet up Sunday in Washington D.C.
