He admits to taking more than 15 doses of Oxycodone a day around that time.

The 30-year-old says he wondered, “Am I going to be that guy that was so awesome on the Jersey Shore and then…that’s it?”

Sorrentino also believed that he could handle his low point without outside help.

“I really thought I could fix it, that I could turn it around by myself,” he says.

The reality star recalls suffering from withdrawal symptoms so severe that he turned down a $40,000 appearance in Australia because he couldn’t get out of his bed.

“I didn’t even care,” Sorrentino recalls.

He was eventually persuaded to seek medical advice and go to rehab by his family.

He says, “I knew that they were right, that if I didn’t fix the problem there’d be no Situation.”
