(BLACKFOOT, ID) — A former Snake River Jr. High School principal accused of molesting one of his students is headed to prison. Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Cox originally counseled with his 14-year-old victim, who had previously experienced sexual abuse. A psychosexual evaluation suggested that Cox himself had blamed the girl for repeated inappropriate encounters both at school and the victim’s home. District Judge Greg Moeller sentenced Cox to 18 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole within three years.
