GETTY B 102511 WallStreetStock? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1344289728185Hemera/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Monday was fairly quiet on Wall Street despite some financial unrest last week in Europe and some disappointing economic reports here at home.

Investors were in a moderately good mood after Friday’s better than expected jobs report, helping the Dow open the week with positive gains for the first time since late May. The index added 21 points, closing at 13,118. The S&P added three points to settle at 1,394, and the Nasdaq closed at 2,990 — up 22 points.

Knight Capital Group, the securities firm that lost millions of dollars after a software breakdown in trading, says it has lined up $400 million in financing that will allow it to continue operations. Best Buy has offered to buy the company, whose shares Monday plunged below $3 from just over $10 last Tuesday.
