Idaho Among Most Charitable States

(IDAHO FALLS) – Idaho is one of the top-10 most charitable states in the country, according to a new study. Local News 8 reports that researchers looked at the politics of the states most likely to give their income and time. Overwhelmingly, residents in Republican-leaning states are more likely to give to charitable organizations. On average, Idahoans give 6.4 percent of their annual salaries to charity. Utah led the nation at 10.6 percent. Officials say the trends largely reflect religious attitudes.
