Nick Jonas Says He’s Being Considered for “American Idol”

Gilbert Carrasquillo/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Nick Jonas has confirmed reports that he may be joining the judges’ panel on the next season of American Idol.
In a tweet to his fans this weekend, the singer said, “I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens.”
The 19-year-old is best known as one-third of the Jonas Brothers, as well as the leader of the band Nick Jonas & The Administration. He has also appeared in musicals such as Les Miserables and Hair.
Following the exit of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez from the Idol judges’ table, it was confirmed that Mariah Carey will join the show for season 12.
It is also widely suggested that Randy Jackson might also be leaving his position as a judge and becoming a mentor.
