(NEW YORK) — The Baltimore Ravens placed linebacker Terrell Suggs on the physically unable to perform list Monday. Suggs will now have to wait six games before he is able to return on the field.
Suggs underwent surgery in May after tearing his Achilles in April and has said that Ravens fans will see him on the field in 2012. Suggs has played in eight of his nine NFL seasons, missing only three games in 2009 with a knee injury.
If Suggs is able to return by Week 7, he will face Houston along with the rest of the Ravens. Baltimore made the move to trim down their roster to meet the NFL roster limit by 4 p.m. ET.
Also headed to the PUP list is wide receiver David Reed, defensive tackle Ryan McBean, safety Emanuel Cook, along with linebackers Stevie Baggs and Darryl Blackstock.
