School Bus Strikes Pickup in Franklin County

 (DAYTON) – A school bus crashed into a pickup in Franklin County Thursday, sending two people to the hospital. Here’s Idaho State Police say 72-year-old Darrell Shepherd of Dayton tried to turn left at an intersection and struck a pickup driven by 18-year-old Carrie Johnson. The pickup rolled, ejecting Johnson who was not wearing a seatbelt. 40 students from kindergarten to 12th grade were on the bus at the time, one of whom was taken to a hospital in Preston along with Johnson. The rest of the students were transferred to another bus. The crash is still under investigation.
