Son of Eagles Coach Andy Reid Found Dead at Training Camp

Garrett Reid, 29, had been attending the training camp with his father. Lehigh University chief of police Ed Shupp said a 911 call was made at approximately 7:20 a.m. Sunday at the school in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to report an unresponsive male at the Sayre Park dormitories, according to the Philadelphia Eagles Web site.

The Eagles announced in a statement that offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo oversaw the team’s walk-through Sunday morning, and will oversee the the team until Andy Reid’s return.

“This news is heartbreaking for everyone in the Eagles family. Our hearts go out to Andy, his wife, Tammy, and their children,” said Eagles Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie.
