Timothy Peters Dominates at Bristol
Published at(BRISTOL, Tenn.) — Timothy Peters put on a dominant performance Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Trucks Series race. Peters led all 204 laps to collect his second victory of the season.
Peters beat Parker Kligerman on a green-white-checkered restart after Cale Gale crashed on the 193 lap.
Peters became the first driver to lead every lap in a Truck race since Ron Hornaday Jr. in 1997 and wasn’t going to let the final restart change anything.
“I wasn’t too worried about it,” Peters said. “We had a great truck with a Joe Gibbs Racing engine in it. We just had to make sure the driver didn’t make any mistakes.”
Brad Keselowski finished in third followed by Austin Dillon. The next Truck Series race will be at Atlanta Motor Speedway on August 31.
