NBA? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1344453246509National Basketball Association(NEW YORK) — The Utah Jazz have made it official: they hired former San Antonio Spurs executive Dennis Lindsey as the team’s new general manager.

Along with Lindsey, former general manager Kevin O’Connor will remain with the team. O’Connor will become the Vice President of Basketball Operations.

“To partner with Kevin [and] to have a mentor is very important to me,” Lindsey said at an introductory press conference.

“People are going to ask me why make the move now, and this has been in the works for a while,” said O’Connor.

Before being a part of the Spurs front office, Lindsey also spent 11 years with the Houston Rockets. While in San Antonio, the Spurs won more then 50 games in regular season and reached the playoffs all five years there.

Despite having a very young roster, the Jazz were able to reach the playoffs this past season.
