The 52-year-old former One Day at a Time star was thrilled to be honored with a marker installed across the street from Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

She told the crowd, “I cannot believe at this stage in my life this is happening to me, and I get to have the best job on television.”

White joked that Bertinelli’s star was more significant than her own, which she earned in 1988.

She said, “I got a star because I was on television five and a half hours a day, six days a week, and they thought I should have something, so they put a star down.  But at that point, it was free.  But this is a real honor, because someone has to sponsor it and it costs bucks.”

Bertinelli and White’s sitcom returns to TV Land for its fourth season on Nov. 28.
