Alec Baldwin’s Daughter Not Bothered by ‘Pig’ Voicemail

Sonia Moskowitz/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — That 2007 voicemail in which her father called her a “rude, thoughtless little pig?” Ireland Baldwin says it’s no big deal.
“The only problem with that voice mail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was,” Alec Baldwin’s 16-year-old daughter told the latest issue of Page Six Magazine. “He’s said stuff like that before just because he’s frustrated. For me it was like, ‘OK, whatever.’ I called him back I was like, ‘Sorry Dad, I didn’t have my phone.’ That was it.”
In fact, she says, they joke about it now: “We almost did something funny on YouTube, of me calling him and yelling at him,” she said. “We were just talking about it the other week.”
The younger Baldwin has come into her own over the past year, amassing more than 14,000 Twitter followers, giving away her father at his wedding to 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas and becoming a favorite of New York paparazzi, in part because she’s the spitting image of her mother, Kim Basinger.
