(AFTON, Wyo.) – A man riding a dirt bike was killed Tuesday night after being hit by a school bus in Afton. Authorities say 36-year-old Troy Turner was driving his bike along US Hwy 89 with no lights on at about 8:30 pm. A school bus from Evanston carrying a freshman football team rear-ended the bike, launching Turner into a ditch nearby. The bus driver reported not seeing the man until it was too late. Turner, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. None of the students or coaches on the bus were hurt in the accident, which remains under investigation.
