“General Hospital” Star John Ingle Dead at 84
Published at(NEW YORK) — Actor John Ingle, who played family patriarch Edward Quartermaine on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital died Sunday, reports People.com. He was 84.
Ingle joined General Hospital back in 1992. In a posting on Facebook on Monday, his family wrote: “Father, Husband, Grandad, Great Grandad, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Inspirer, Mentor: May You Soar with the Angels. You will forever hold a special place in the deepest corners of our hearts.”
According to IMDB, Ingle graduated Occidental College in Los Angeles and became a drama and English teacher at Hollywood High School, and later switched to Beverly Hills High. His students reportedly included David Schwimmer, Swoosie Kurtz, Nicolas Cage, Julie Kavner and Albert Brooks, among others. Ingle was also in the movie Heathers.
