Goodyear Offers Driving Lessons to Troubled Stars
Published at(NEW YORK) — Tire manufacturer Goodyear is hoping some free driving lessons can turn around what’s been a decidedly bad year behind the wheel for Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes. TMZ has learned that in the interest of public safety, the company dashed off a pair of letters to the two actresses, offering them free driving lessons.
The starlets have been involved in multiple driving dramas — ranging from LiLo’s rear-ending a semi in July, to Bynes’s recent hit-and-run allegations and license suspension, to Lindsay’s arrest Wednesday for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.
Goodyear is offering free transportation to its Akron, Ohio, headquarters “for a private 1-on-1 lesson with our professional drivers — no paparazzi allowed.”
Each letter is tailored slightly to each actress’ career: Bynes’s says, “Not all of us can be all that on the road” — making reference to her Nickelodeon show of the same name — while Lindsay’s note reportedly mentions that with training she’d be able to, “show Herbie the Lovebug a thing or two.” LiLo starred in Herbie: Fully Loaded in 2005.
