Idaho Falls City Council Finalizes Budget Cuts
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — The Idaho Falls City Council has finalized a series of cuts that will reduce the deficit for the next fiscal year. The city made nearly $600,000 in cuts during a meeting Tuesday, meaning that they’ll only need to tap into the city’s savings account for about $250,000. The biggest cuts will impact Parks and Recreation and Building and Planning. Officials decided to keep $90,000 in the budget for snow removal. The council voted against raising property taxes last month, noting that the city hasn’t raised taxes in years.
