Kicker Drew Alleman nailed a 30-yard field goal in the third quarter to give the Tigers the lead and they never looked back.

The offense struggled as quarterback Zach Mettenberger was 15-of-27 for 169 yards and no touchdowns.

Auburn running back Tre Mason was tackled in his own endzone by Sam Montgomery for a safety in the first quarter, giving LSU (4-0) a 2-0 lead.

The LSU Tigers added to the lead with running back Michael Ford scoring on a one-yard touchdown run to make it 9-0.

Auburn (1-3) answered with 10 unanswered points to take a 10-9 lead into halftime, but it was unable to score in the second half.
