The president will headline an intimate 100-person evening event at the rapper’s 40/40 Club near Madison Square Park in Chelsea, according to the Obama campaign.

Tickets are $40,000 per person with proceeds benefitting the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising account of the campaign and Democratic National Committee, a campaign official told ABC News.

Earlier in the evening, Obama will headline a fundraiser at the Waldorf Astoria in midtown, where 200 guests are expected at a ticket price of $12,500 per family.

Both events are expected to raise north of $5.25 million combined for Obama and Democrats, based on figures provided by the campaign.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been public advocates for the president’s re-election, appearing at campaign fundraisers and in web videos supporting Obama. Both have plugged a second Obama term at concerts this summer.

The president’s return to New York highlights just how financially important the state has been to his campaign.  He has attended 19 fundraising events on nine visits to New York in 2012, making it his most-visited state of the election campaign.
