Report: Russell Crowe Stinks as Noah, Literally

Chris Jackson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Oscar winning Gladiator star Russell Crowe is going “Method” for his work as biblical hero Noah in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film, and since Noah’s ark didn’t have any showers, the National Enquirer says Crowe isn’t taking them. The item, posted on the Canadian gossip site Tribute, quotes an on-set source who says of the actor, “He’s been experimenting with skipping showers, which is something he did on Gladiator…to get an appropriately gritty look. He has to look like a very old, very weathered man for this movie, but you don’t want to be inhaling when he walks past. He reeks!”
Noah, which will also star Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Connelly, as well as Harry Potter series star Emma Watson, will sail into theaters in 2014.
