UConn’s Napier Undergoes Foot Surgery
Published at(STORRS, Conn.) — UConn guard Shabazz Napier underwent foot surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot.
Napier had a screw inserted in his fifth metatarsal bone Friday. Napier will be in a cast and boot for several weeks, but the team expects him to be ready in time for practices, which begins October 13.
The junior guard averaged 13 points, 3.5 boards and 5.8 assists per game last season.
